Appreciation for dance
We hope more people come to see dance not only as entertainment but as an art with depth, discipline and history.
Aspiration
Our Vision
A world in which dance is appreciated as a meaningful form of artistic expression, cultural exploration and creative participation.
This vision statement is proposed wording and is subject to formal approval by the organization.
Respect for artistic traditions
Traditions deserve to be understood in their own terms — their music, their contexts and the people who carry them.
Creative exploration
We value the space where tradition meets new ideas, and where dancers find their own voice.
Meaningful participation
Participation should be welcoming, safe and honest about what is offered.
Responsible organizational development
Growth matters less than doing things properly: clear governance, accurate records and transparent communication.
